JAY-Z has had enough, and is asking a federal judge to step in after enduring what he calls “decades-long harassment” from a 31-year-old man claiming to be his biological son.

In recently filed court documents obtained by ‘Us Weekly,’ the Rap legend petitioned the courts to shut down a lawsuit filed by a Rymir Satterthwaite who adamantly alleges JAY (born Shawn Carter) is his father.
As recently as May, Rymir accused JAY of not only being aware but intentionally avoiding paternity tests and using his celebrity power to attempt to silence him through tactics of intimidation, fraud, manipulation of the legal system, and more.
In response, Carter denied the silencing accusations and pointed out Satterthwaite’s “decades-long harassment campaign” as well as previous rejections from multiple courts.
“The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected — in multiple other courts and [Satterthwaite’s] continued harassment of [Jay-Z] and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order,” JAY’s lawyer said before arguing his superstar client needs additional time to respond. “[Jay-Z] will be irreparably prejudiced without additional time to evaluate and prepare his response to the complaint.”
Satterthwaite’s lawsuit claims his late mother, Wanda Satterthwaite, had a relationship with JAY in the 1990’s and that this extensive legal battle (which includes multiple dismissed requests for paternity tests) has caused him emotional distress, health complications, and public embarrassment.
In his suit, Rymir – whose specific damages sought have yet to be made public – did make clear he was not seeking back child support.
At writing, a judge has yet to issue a response on the latest filing.
