We’ve been looking forward to a new album from Deftones for a bit now, and after teasing the name at their London show on June 29, they’ve officially announced private music. It’s their tenth LP, the follow-up to 2020’s fantastic Ohms, and it’s due out on August 22 via Reprise/Warner (pre-order on clear vinyl). They co-produced it with Nick Raskulinecz, who they previously worked with on 2010’s Diamond Eyes and 2012’s Koi No Yokan, and you can see the cover art and tracklist below.
The first single is “my mind is a mountain,” which you can hear below.
Deftones begin the next leg of their 2025 tour on the night the album comes out. Phantogram and IDLES each open select dates, and The Barbarians of California are along for the full run. Deftones also have shows supporting System of a Down coming up, as well as festival sets at Shaky Knees, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. UPDATE: they’ve also added a new 2026 run in Europe and the UK with Denzel Curry and Drug Church, and you can see all dates below.
